Hi King Solomon I don't know why you get so worked up the book is Jared chapter 4 and I have given already the quotation .Also please explain Gnesis 6:12 "all flesh had ruined it's way on the earth" ? How can animals do that ? Why is it so hard to fathom genetic engineering ? We do it today .Why do you think demons were incapable of doing so ? Hi Entirely Pssible , Genesis 6:12 says"all flesh had ruined it's way on the earth" .Satan knew that the only way to stop Jehovah's prophesy for the seed of the woman happening was to ruin the seed or contaminate the seed. genetic manipulation would seem to be the only way ,which him and his demons did on a grand scale .Eitherwise how are we to interpent the verse genesis 6:12 ? "All flesh" would include the animals too which were ruined or contaminated from genetic engineering . The book of Jared says chapter 4 ,"they(demons) mixed species one with another in order to provoke the Lord"

Finkelstein ,good points and great review..I'm Greek and was brought with these stories There are not archological finds at least in Greece of gorgons or centaurs but the fact they appear as stories so frequently in Greek mythology shows that at some point in the past humans have encountered such creatures .The book of ENOCH makes mention to genetic manipulation also stories in other cultures (India) make mention of vimanas and nuclear bombs in the antiquity .If you put all these together ,you can see why would God would want to wipe the slate clean ,we were exposed far to early to some many things that we were not capable to process .No wonder they left a scar in human collective cosciousness in the form of myths and stories

There were quite a few things Out of Place things that needed swifting out ,materialed demons,Nepheliem's ,structures and technology that would scare the hell out of us if we saw them today and don't forget genetic manipulation expiriments on humans that created so many myths for monsters like gorgons,centaurs etc. All that together with the fact that we are still regarded inferior creation somewhere between animal and angel gives the right to God to treat us the way he does .Yes ,it doesn't make sense and things could be handled differently but that would make a me god ,wouldn't it ? And that is back in the same argument ,who has the right to know bad from good ?

At what age do people 'wake up'?
by Splash ini was thinking about this question recently after being at the meeting when new pioneers were announced for the 2013 service year.. we have a dozen or so pioneers in the congregation, and most are in their 20's.
some absolutely love the things they are taught and can't wait to spread the good news.. others in the congregation are going through the motions, tired of hearing the same old same old but have no way to change things now.
then there are a couple like me.

I saw faults from the a young age ,I remember as a teeneger arguing with my parents why is it that we want people to listen to our message but we won't listen to them .Nevertheless it wasn't until I was in my late 30's I started seeing the problem .To much cognitive dissonance .I cam across the letter of James book ,one of the best JW books in my opinion .i could not undestant how a vile apostate write such a beutiful book .The internet had definetely awaken many

Northwest England ,attendance the same ,but very unhappy congragation ,stoping the Book study arrangement has definetely got things worse .The small group arrangement created a family envioment ,the KH feels cold and unloving now ,that has created clique's .

in the book of revelation the word "great crowd" appears 3 times,it is quite interesting that in all 3 verses it says a great crowd and not the great crowd .could that possibly mean that this is not a specific group but just a multitude of spiritual beings in heaven ?in the same line of reasoning the bible uses the word "a great crowd " in john 6:2 ," 2 but a great crowd kept following him, because they were beholding the signs he was performing upon those who were ill." are we to believe that the great crowd in john 6:2 has any significance ,or identifies a specific group of people with unique attributes?.

Hi transhuman68 , I'm Greek and know how to read the ancient text (I'm not trying to show off) just looking for more ideas :The verse says "οχλος πολυς" which translates "crowd many" but there is no definitive article in front of it .If it was a specific group it would say "ο πολυς οχλος" , o , being the article .

Hi Vanderhoven7 ,I'm trying to see this issue from a different point of view really .Concetrating on the fact that there is no definitive article in front of the phrase great crowd so therefore any interprentation of who they really are is loose ,thanks for the youtube videos .I'll watch them now
